Welcome to SocrateAI. By using our platform, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SocrateAI’s website, mobile apps, courses, datasets, and AI tools.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing our content, using AI features, or downloading datasets, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other guidelines we publish.

2. Who Can Use SocrateAI

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or have parental consent if under 16).
  • You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
  • You may not use the platform if you are legally barred from doing so by laws applicable in your country.

3. User Accounts

  • Each user must maintain a single personal account.
  • Sharing login credentials is prohibited unless you’re using an official team/organization plan.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity under your account.

4. Use of Courses & Content

  • You may access free or paid courses for personal, academic, or research use only.
  • You may not redistribute, resell, or publicly post course materials without written permission.
  • Certificates are issued based on completion and performance and are non-transferable.

5. AI Tools & Outputs

  • SocrateAI uses generative AI to assist in learning.
  • Outputs are provided for educational purposes and should be verified before use in academic submissions or production code.
  • Do not submit harmful, abusive, or illegal prompts to the AI system.

6. Open Data Usage

SocrateAI curates and releases open datasets for public use:

✅ Allowed:
  • Academic research
  • Personal or student projects
  • Non-commercial innovation
❌ Not Allowed:
  • Resale or commercial distribution
  • Using data in proprietary AI products without attribution

Each dataset is governed by its specific license (e.g., CC BY-NC 4.0). Check the license in each dataset’s documentation.

7. Payment & Refunds

  • All payments for premium courses or services are final.
  • We do not offer refunds unless explicitly mentioned on the course page.
  • In case of billing errors or platform failures, contact support within 7 days.

8. User Conduct

  • Use the platform respectfully and legally
  • Avoid spamming, harassment, or hate speech in live sessions or community areas
  • Not reverse-engineer or tamper with SocrateAI’s code, models, or infrastructure

9. Account Suspension or Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms
  • Misuse of AI tools or attempts to extract proprietary systems
  • Fraudulent activity (e.g., test manipulation, impersonation)

10. Intellectual Property

  • All platform content — courses, assessments, AI feedback, and designs — are the intellectual property of SocrateAI Pvt. Ltd.
  • Open datasets retain their license-specific ownership and attribution.

11. Disclaimers

  • AI-generated suggestions are probabilistic, not deterministic. Use judgment.
  • We do not guarantee job placement or outcomes from course completion.
  • Platform uptime is maintained best-effort; outages may occur.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. All disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.

13. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be notified by email or platform alert.
